Arrival

The office is conveniently located in downtown State College, three blocks “uphill” from the Allen Street Gates of Penn State University’s University Park Campus. Our building is near the Schlow Library and the State College Municipal Building. The nearest cross streets are Foster Avenue and Nittany Avenue.

Vehicle Parking

The Allenway Building provides six no-cost visitor parking spaces in its base-floor garage. The base-floor garage can be entered from South Allen Street, Foster Avenue, and Bird Alley. The visitor parking spaces are marked as “60 MINUTES ONLY”. AutumnSpring clients are eligible to use those spaces as available. Please note that the maximum vehicle height that can enter the garage is 6-and-a-half feet (6’ 6”), and the parking spaces can be a tight fit for wider vehicles.

There is ample street parking around the building according to the fee schedule set by the Borough of State College.

Bus Transportation

Our location on South Allen Street is just a short walk from the College Avenue and Beaver Avenue Transit Centers for the local CATA Bus system.

Waiting Room

Just inside Suite 121 is a cozy waiting room that includes chairs, chilled bottled water, and dimmable lighting. If you arrive early for your session, please wait and your counselor will greet you in the waiting room. The Allenway Building has restrooms for clients just down the hallway outside of AutumnSpring Counseling.

Building Atrium

A unique feature of The Allenway Building is its large (six-story) atrium in the center of the building. It has tables and chairs for seating, a 3-story-tall water feature, many live plants, and a retractable sunroof that is open to the sky on fair weather days. This atrium is a great place to eat, read, study, or relax before or after an appointment with us.

Nearby Food & Beverage

Restaurants in close proximity to our location includes Panera, Cozy Thai Bistro, Subway, Sauly Boy’s, The Corner Room, and Saint’s Cafe.
